Develop a functional balance between laboratory space and office space.
OUR UNIQUE DESIGN SOLUTION
The S16 team took time to understand the processes involved in copper extraction and mining logistics. The parallels between the art and science of mining, and the services Axishouse offered were clear. Finding beauty in the raw state of what most only appreciate once polished and refined. The inclusion of hand-crafted copper elements aimed to project the authenticity of the clients values. A refined balance of industrial, minimalist and naturally warm finishes spoke to the essence of the brand.
THE OUTCOME
S16 exceeded the client’s expectations by tapping into the client’s identity, beyond what the client could possibly communicate. An astutely planned space that utilized, rather than avoided, the dissonance between the organic curvature of the facade and the
geometric shapes on the opposite end of the space. A warm and natural-feeling space with minimalist industrial finishes and turquoise accents inspired by a copper patina - a play on molecular structure in the geometry of the office layout.
Client received the benefit of a design that far surpassed their brief, and was meticulously and efficiently implemented.
